Bubbling with questions
That soft soap... it's like a scam right? You know I don't know quite how it is a rip off but something tells me I am spending about 3x the amount on soft soap than I would on hard soap. It's like hard disks and floppy disks right?

I too wonder that, but I hate cleaning greeby soap dishes.
I used to be completely opposed to soft soap, but:
-we don't have room on the kitchen counter for a dish (and without one the soap slides around)
-in the bathroom it is easier to use the soft soap when washing the short one's hands. (in the guest bath we have soft and hard - the hard is the fancy, nice smelling stuff, which then kind of equalizes the price issue)
The remaining problem for me is that I am anti "anti-bacterial" soft soap. Washing your hands properly gets rid of bacteria, and I worry about all this antibac crap killing of the less vigorous bacteria and leaving us more in danger when only strong strains survive. It is a pain finding regular non-antibac soap. (Oh the effort, oh the suffering!)
"greeby" is an awesome word! I plan on using it all the time now! Oh, and soft soap is great because it keep my middle child from being mesmerized by rubbing a bar of soap. He's easily distracted, and I'm all for paying more so he can wash his hands in less than an hour.
Definately a scam.
