Stand your ground
Among my circle of mother-friends there seems much to do about discipline. A lot Moms will say, oh my husband is so much better than I am at holding his ground. My stock response to these largely more-at-home-Moms...
"Yeah, but his ground is roughly like Greenland. Your ground is more like the former Yugoslavia. So there you go."

Here it is like the everchanging topography of nation states in Africa...you never know the name or type of leadership that will be happening at any given time.
Hahaha ... sounds like my husband. Only I'd say his ground is more like one of those blow up thingies the kids like to jump in, or one of those ball pits, take your pick. :0)
Now that is just perfect. I am so so using that line.
I'd say that both my husband and I are more like our yard after a heavy rain. It's strong enough and it will support you, but it's unstable and very slippery.
Don't know what to write. Too busy laughing.
SO feeling this pain.
