Bad Parenting Confessional : Errrrcch!
"Honey, can you climb up into your seat?"
"I can do it."
"Great, baby, thanks."
Quickly we are en route.. Mama and toddler and enfant... Thanks for the cooperation everybody.
"Mommy."
"Yes, baby girl?"
"You forgot to do the buckles."
eeerrrchhhhh!
So last week she was looking for freedom and this week it's restraint. Ah, the fickleness of a two year old.

Nice of her to tell you. When Ada gets annoyed with being in the car, she starts to channel Houdini. It seems no matter how tight the straps, she can wiggle one arm free, then the other. (In fact, making the straps too tight means they start to slip off her shoulders, making this easier.) I only know she's done this because the complaining stops for a bit while she wiggles free.
Pulling up, strapping in, filling cups, washing noodles. Geez, I am finally caught up after a hideously neglectful time away. Life, drama (of the literal sort) has slowed me down. Congratualtions on all the milestones of the frozen and body-heat variety.
At least she told you. Twice I've forgotten with Ian, he didn't say a word. Only noticed when he was leaning way forward. Scary.
